December AZ Trip

It is a tradition to meet and go out to dinner together.
Nate did not like these guys that sang Feliz Navidad to us.
Analee and Charlie

Aaron and Laura when we went to the Cullers for Sunday dinner...

Me and Dave at Tia Rosa's

Us at Temple lights

Laura, Aaron and Jack at the Suns vs. Knicks game.

At the game!

Dave and Jack cheering the Suns!

Jack was all "Jacked Up" on cotton candy!

We had a lot of fun during our visit. The weather was good the first two days, then rainy and wet the last two days. But it was better than the freezing weather here in WA last weekend.
While we were gone my laptop crashed. I just barely got it fixed and haven't re-installed all my editing programs yet. (Here's to ALWAYS BACKING UP YOUR PHOTOS ON AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE OR CD'S!!!) Anyhow, that is why these photos aren't edited yet.
Thanks to Aaron, Laura, Analee and Charlie for making our trip fun as usual!
Love you guys!

Guitar Hero is fun for young and old alike!
On Thanksgiving we hosted 25 people at my house and I didn't take hardly any photos other than these...how lame am I?!? I just kind of sat back, ate, and enjoyed interacting with everyone.

November was so Full!

Well, I'm going to finish off my Grateful November with my list of six more things I was grateful for....
1) bankers hours (the week of Thanksgiving)
2) a husband who likes to help get ready to entertain
3) That Dave likes to cook the Turkey
4) For DArcy's bouncy house!
5) for wonderful family!
6) For NOT having to Work OR Shop on Black Friday!

December will be even busier than November. I have a really long to-do list and I'm trying to document every day in December in an album with photos this year. I may post some here but I probably won't try to update every day.
Remember to keep the CHRIST in CHRISTMAS this year!

2 Fun Weekends in a Row! So Grateful!

Last weekend we had a fun girl's getaway at Creating Keepsakes CKC in Bellevue!
we had a group of 6 gals and had fun attending classes, going out to dinner together, and SHOPPING!
(pictured above are Heidi & Shawna at our album crop)
Here is me and Heidi (the other Heidi) waiting for our PF Changs reservation.

This is everyone but me....
Linda, Heidi, Suzanne, Heidi and Shawna

The Scraplove babes...

This Heidi CRACKS ME UP! She is so cute, huh?

We even got Shawna laughing...and she had a cold. :(

Ask Heidi who bought the most.... ;)

We all took turns showing off our loot.

Heidi and Shawna did my hair and makeup before we met the guys for dinner and a movie.
(We saw 007: Quantum of Solace)
Dave didn't even recognize me with my hair like this...isn't it cute!?!

Pretty gals pose at Ruth Chris

The guys were being funny but this one is really cute.
Dave, Andrew, Aaron and Trent

And the money shot!
(excuse the red-eye...Note to self: must fix that before I print this to scrapbook)

And this weekend:
Another fun girls event. My friend Christi gathered every Twilight fan she knew and booked us a private showing of Twilight at midnight! What fun!
I really enjoyed it!

Cindy, Suzanne, Shawna & Heidi

Grateful November Posts #7 & #8

Yesterday (Saturday) I was grateful for a Saturday of sleeping in with Dave. Even though it was a rainy day we had fun sleeping late, getting Wendys for an early lunch (11am) and going shopping at Southcenter Mall.
We were also grateful for the Romney's Hot Tub Yesterday...it felt so good after a rainy, cool, grey day.
Today (Sunday) I am grateful for lazy Sunday afternoons and Roast Beef dinners...especially when Dave made the Roast AND the Broccoli with cheese sauce. All I had do do were Mashed Potatos and Gravy. Yummy.
I am also grateful for dependable people.

Grateful November Posts #5 & 6

This posting everyday thing is tough. I end up just putting 2 days together a lot.
Yesterday I was grateful for SLEEPING IN! I didn't have to work until 2 and I got to sleep in, chat with Mom on the phone and scrapbook a little before heading to work.
Today, I am grateful for GIRLFRIENDS. DAve is in Portland overnight for a Blazers game and were it not for an impromptu girls night (that i hope we'll pull off) I'd be alone all evening. :(

1) No more political campaign ads
2) My right to vote (even though it doesn't seem to make much of a difference)
3) Facebook--if you haven't checked this out...it's pretty cool. Reconnecting with lost friends all over the country!
4) Bathroom breaks! (You don't want to know)

Grateful November- Post #2 & 3

Ok, today at work I was down a whole pharmacy technician and we usually fill around 22o prescriptions on Monday...it's our busiest day of the week. So it was myself (pharmacist) and one technician. Mind you, this tech is awesome and efficient but it was still a totally CRAZY day! we ended up filling 320 scripts! One hundred more than usual!! 20 of which were flu shots! Wow!
So today....I am grateful for: Good Help at work! (Thanks Ali!)

Yesterday, I was grateful for a Husband who likes to cook and made me yummy homemade chicken noodle soup! Perfect for the rainy day it was here in Seattle! Thanks Dave! I love U babe!

Grateful November-Post #1

Ok, my idea for November is to list at least one thing I am grateful for per day. Now the idea here is to post something daily. We all know that might not happen. So I may post more than one day's worth at a time to make up for missed days posting. I will end up with at least 30 things by the end of the month and November is the perfect time to focus on gratitude.

November 1st I was grateful for Family.

Especially for the opportunity to see mine at Chloe's baptism. The rain held off until after her baptism so we got some cute family shots outside the chapel. Then we all went out to eat at Azteca. yum.
Here's a cute picture of Chloe's family...

Happy Haloween

Here's a blast from the past! Carlen (skeleton), Kerry (ghost), Me (Wonder woman-can't you tell?), and Cami (a witch)! All costumes were homemade & NOT store bought in the good old days!
That makes me sound old!
Enjoy & be safe!

Hey Kids, Rock & Roll...Rock On! (A little scary but a LOT funny)

Ok, so we've been having ROCK BAND parties lately with our friends and we decided to have another one this last Saturday. Andrew asked Dave to swing by Walmart and pick up some AC/DC shirts so the guys could all have on Rocker shirts while they "get the band back together". cool. So when we showed up at Trent's house with ROCK BAND gear in tow, he opens the door and looks like this:

I about CHOKED!!! Wow. What a trip! Love the pimp shoes and the flared jeans with the naked ladies fabric sewn in! Too cool! (found out later that the whole outfit was assembled and made by our friend Heidi--she is so creative and too fun!)
So after Trent opened the door like that and we all stopped crying from laughing so hard, Andrew grabbed one of the AC/DC shirts and disappeared for minute. We didn't really think anything of it until he returned looking like this:

What a crack-up! Love the vinyl pants and the mullet wig! After that things just got a little out of hand...the guys started modeling and acting silly...like they were an 80's band shooting a cover for their new album. So funny!

I think they decided on that last one for the actual album cover. (Whatever). Then I just took some random silly shots:

After much silliness, we finally got around to actually PLAYING rock band...they took off their costumes cuz they start to sweat when they're beating the drums and strumming their guitars...so they settled for just wearing their rocker shirts. enjoy!

This is a cute one of Heidi and Shauna...

Thanks to Heidi & Aaron, Andrew & Shauna, and Suzanne & Trent for making this a super fun night!
