He's been gone from this mortal life for 8 yrs.I miss him more than I can express.
It sneaks up on me at the most unexpected times.
My mom probably misses him even more.

There are too many couples we know getting divoriced lately. WAY too many. No one values commitment and responsibility anymore. What is up with that? I just don't get it. My parents were each others' best friends and were the perfect example of loving and supporting each other, even when at times they did not agree with each other. Thanks Mom and Dad for the example that I pattern my marraige after. I am lucky to be married to my best friend also. :)

Seeing from my perspective now as a parent the sacrifces Dad made and the attention he gave each child elevates him to even more of a HERO in my book.
