44. This is turning into a list that just proves I am a total dork.

58. If I have to watch a sports game I prefer baseball.
59. I learned soon after marrying Dave that if I hoped to have any reasonable conversation at all during the months of April to October I'd better learn fluent baseball lingo.
60. Our favorite restaruant used to be Stanfords...until they got rid of their cheesy bread. Now it's Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse.
61. I love bookstores. they make me have to go to the bathroom. (that's not why I love them...they just do.)

81. My favorite color is red.
82. For being a relatively organized person, this list is pretty random.
83. I don't enjoy shopping like most girls do. I usually need to know exactly what I'm looking for and then get in, find it and get out. I hate just window shopping or not being able to find what I'm looking for when I go shopping.
84. I like rules and boundaries. It drives my crazy when parents can't enforce the rules they've set with their kids.

Arizona trip & diamondbacks game!

Aaron and Laura with Jack...in front of thier new house!

Here's a view of the front...(Dave's in the orange shirt thinking he's out of the picture...)
Analee, Nate and Jack at Tia Rosa's for lunch.

These two are so much fun!

Laura is such a good mommy...Look at Jack's smile!

Ok, for some reason these pictures loaded out of order, but Aaron scored these AWESOME Diamondback tickets where we paid $60.00 per ticket but $30.00 per person went to food! They were at TGI Friday's in the stadium and the seats were right on the rail! We had great view, and the food was so yummy! Here's a picture of Dave with is Steak and Shrimp!

Aaron celebrating a great pitch! He is a very enthusastic fan. The Dbacks won on the night we went to see them but they lost the next two games. They are officially out of the Playoffs. Bummer.

This is the Jackster. He is so much bigger than when we saw him in June. He's such a cute little man.

Uncle Charlie with Jack at Tia Rosa's on Saturday.

This is Chase field. (It used to be Bank one Ballpark). It was our first time seeing a game at this Stadium. Dave has decided that he wants to visit all the major league ballparks now. We'll see how long that takes us.

Our view of the field from our AWESOME seats...

We had to purchase Dback t-shirts and hats so we'd look like the true fans that we are!

Me with Aaron and Laura...

Laura, Me and Dave at our table on the rail at TGI Friday's

I'm telling you...that is the only way to watch a baseball game! So Fun!

Thanks for all your planning Aaron! You guys made our weekend totally Fun!

Can't wait until next time!

Views from Rattlesnake Ridge...Boinkers...Crazy Hours...Fair Time...Desk!

Last Friday we went to see our favorite 70s & 80s Rock coverband "The Boinkers". (theboinkers.com) We had a total blast dancing the night away!

We both worked on Labor day and Dave was working some crazy 9pm-11pm and 4am-11am shifts all last week. He'll have to do it some of this week too because the club is recarpeting the workout areas so they have to move treadmills, etc. off the floor at night and go in before the club opens to move them back onto the newly carpeted area. They are doing it in sections and that is what is taking so long. I'll be glad when that's over. (So will he!)

We went to the Puyallup Fair on Friday night. What a blast! I love fair food! We had ice cream, onion burgers, curly fries, & more ice cream. I really love the funnel cakes & kettle corn but I was too full to eat anymore. Maybe I should grow 3 more stomachs like a cow has...speaking of cows...we saw lots of stinky, smelly livestock. Cows, sheep, horses and piglets that were only 4 days old! We saw the draft horse show but missed the hypnotist. We made our fair purchase: "Cham Wow"s (shamies for cleaning & washing cars, boats, etc), an old Coca-Cola sign and a gift for Dave's Dad's b-day in November. We'll have to go back before the fair ends to have funnel cakes and kettle corn and to see the hypnotist. Oh, I was also so excited when Dave suggested having our picture taken in one of those photo booths! He's never been willing to do that when i asked before...this time HE suggested it! They turned out cute. I'll have to scan them and upload them soon.

Today we helped my cousin Kim move her matress and some furniture into her new rental place and then went to Costco Home Store looking for a desk for Dave. No luck. Then we went to Bellevue Square to Crate & Barrel, Nordstroms, Macys and ate an early dinner at the Cheesecake Factory...Love that place! Afterwards I suggested stopping at Basset Furniture store in Southcenter and we found the perfect desk and it was on SALE!!! SCORE! It will be delivered in 3-4 weeks. Just enough time to clean out the current office desk and find it a good home. (Or take it to the dump if there are no takers). So if you want a perfectly good desk that is 63in.(L)x29.5in.(w)x30in.(h) in a light wood that was originally from IKEA about 5 yrs ago...it's yours...just haul it away!

Ok, an update on last week's to do list: I got everything done EXCEPT going to see Mama Mia. (I wonder if it's still in theaters, or if I've waited too long?)

New list:

1. Buy a shredder

2. Vacuum upstairs and down

3. Pack for trip

4. Scan and upload latest scrapbook pages

5. Backup 5 months worth of photos to cd (yikes)!

Catching up....

Ok, I've done it. I've become a very bad blogger.

I really mean to blog more often. That's me, full of good intentions.

Anyway, here's a list of what we've done lately to catch up:

1. I finished Breaking Dawn. I thought it was very good. I can't wait for the Twilight movie in November.
2. I have worked a total of 112 hrs in the past 2 weeks. Thankfully, this coming week I am only working 36. And i finally get to go to church again....I've either been working or out of town since June. My poor Laurels.
3. We've gone boating on Lake WA several times this Summer. We really enjoy that, and Dave is so happy when he gets to use his boat.
4. We finally took Dave's Mom out to lunch for her birthday and shopping trip yesterday. (Her 71st birthday was in July!) It was fun. We ate lunch at Duke's and shopped at Christopher Banks, Coldwater Creek, and Ann Taylor Loft. We also tried to go see the new section of Southcenter Mall but got trapped in the parking lot trying to park. We gave up...what were we thinking trying to go on Labor Day weekend with skibonkers and the last of back to school shopping going on?
5. Shauna and I hiked Rattlesnake Ridge last weekend...it's 4 miles up & back and is not as steep and switchback-y as Poupou Point. The view from the top is absolutely amazing.
6. Went out to lunch with my friends from High School, Jen and Missy. Jen and I went shopping at Bellevue square afterwards. I got to go to the Container Store. I love that place. Dave calls it my "Happy Place"
7. I have been thinking a lot about to-do lists. I have always been a list maker...I get more done that way. But rarely do my lists get done. I usually keep track of mine in my head. I'm getting too forgetful. (I'm only 37!) So last week I started writing down my list. I got a lot more done. It's rewarding to physically cross something off!

So here's my to do list this week:
1. Make chiropractor appt.
2. Make doctor appt.
3. Make visiting teaching appts.
4. Buy Fair tickets
5. Clean out and organize under bathroom sinks.
6. Find someone to see Mama Mia with me.

Maybe since I've shared my list publicly it will actually get done!

*WHEW*

I'm done. As of right now, 56 hours of work this week....Done.

Tomorrow I am sleeping in. (Then I have to pay bills, grocery shop, clean, etc)

I was just enjoying some of these fun pictures from July when Steve's family

was here visiting from Utah. The kids wanted a ride on Uncle Dave's boat. We

went out on Lake Washington and ate at Kidd Valley. We had a lot of fun. It was

cool getting to know Steve's kids better. We took them out for Ice cream one evening

and even let them borrow our new Rock Band for Wii...cuz they've got some Mad Skillz

on the drums and guitar! So they unlocked a whole bunch of songs for us! It was really

cool to see Braxton drumming! Colby and Mallory both rock the guitar well too!

It's been WAY too long!

1) Since I scrapped! I signed up for classes at the Seattle CKC convention November 13-15th in Bellevue. I also signed up for "Design your Life", an online design class taught by Cathy Zilske at BigPictureScrapbooking.com and this is the pre-class Layout assignment that I just did. I hadn't scrapped before this for at least 4 weeks! (That's a long time for me!)
2) Since I blogged! I've been working too many hrs lately, and then we had Dave's brother's family in town visiting right before we left on vacation for 10 days. So I have tons of pictures to print and scrapbook...just need to find the time. My housework just does not get done to my expectation levels either when I am working this much. Dishes sit in the sink sometimes up to 3 days! (Flylady would be so horrified!) So the few days I have had off lately, I have been doing some major cleaning!
3) Since I've seen new episodes of my favorite shows! I can't wait for Fall season of TV to return! I miss Numb3rs, LOST, CSIs, Men in Trees, and I don't even know what else! I just know I need new, original shows to watch!
4) Since I've hung out with friends! I want to make a bigger effort to get together with all my friends/family/loved ones! I even missed my Niece Cosette's Birthday cuz we were out of town! I am a very bad Aunt!

So...I am planning to do better...week after next! LOL

We're Baaaack!

We had so much fun in the sunshine and warm weather!
We would like to thank our friends for letting us come hang out with them!
